Return to the Source of the Truth

The figure in the Bermula logo represents the human being returning to fitrah—the primordial clarity from which true knowledge begins, and from which civilizations may be renewed.

This work is part if Bermula project, is a small civilizational initiative dedicated to making rooted Islamic knowledge chiefly accessible. It begins from a simple yet demanding aim: to nurture clarity of belief, spiritual depth, and serious intellectual engagement—so that knowledge becomes a source of renewal rather than a privilege reserved for the few.

Why This Work Matters

Access to sound and rooted Islamic scholarship remains uneven across the world.

Many sincere seekers encounter barriers—financial, linguistic, or institutional—that limit their access to thoughtful and reliable guidance. Yet the need for clarity, depth, and intellectual seriousness has never been greater.

Bermula exists to help reduce this imbalance.

For this reason, all resources are made freely accessible. We hold that clarity of belief, spiritual depth, and intellectual integrity should never depend on economic status.

If these reflections have offered clarity or benefit, you are warmly invited to support this work.

Access will always remain open to all. For those granted greater means, your generosity becomes part of a wider effort toward renewal.

Knowledge is light—never a privilege.

المعرفة نورٌ مشاع

Civilizations decline when it is confined,
and renew when it returns to its source.

Further articulation of this vision can be found in the Bermula Manifesto, including its three interrelated pillars.

• thoughtful • independent • globally accessible

The reflections that gave rise to Bermula are part of a broader intellectual journey, introduced in About Uzair Suhaimi, and explored through the writings in Cadaver Wisdom.
