Fenomena PSK Anak pekerja mencerminkan praktik pelanggaran hak-hak dasar anak dan eksploitasi anak baik secara ekonomi maupun seksual. Lebih dari itu, fenomena ini juga mencerminkan bentuk perbudakan di zaman modern sebagaimana terlihat dalam kutipan berikut:
